Peanut butter | Banana | Oatmeal Smoothie

PEANUT BUTTER BANANA OAT SMOOTHIE

There are plenty of lactation teas and other supplements, but my preference is to eat to support lactation. This means foods like old-fashioned oatmeal, adding flaxseed to salads, and foods high in calcium such as dark leafy greens .
But this smoothie is my favorite one , it's sweet and healthy at the same time and for new moms is just the perfect to -go breakfast .

Ingredients
  1. 1 1/4 cup almond milk
  2. 1 banana
  3. 1/4 cup oatmeal
  4. 1 tbsp peanut butter
  5. 1 tbsp flax meal
  6. 1 tbsp chia seeds
  7. 1 1/2 tbsp honey (or preferred sweetener to taste)

Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend to desired consistency.
  2. Garnish with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Notes
  1. Freeze the banana, add crushed ice or refrigerate smoothie for 15 minutes if you want it colder.

In my opinion, the biggest secret to any smoothie is a frozen banana. It makes a smoothie creamy. And the banana taste is subtle, not overpowering, like unfrozen banana tends to be in a smoothie. The protein in the milk, peanut butter, and oats make this smoothie really filling, and the bananas add enough sweetness that you can get by without sweetener.
